So allowing doctors to practice a procedure that is ILLEGAL is a sure-fire way to combat a problem, right? The argument is that it will help end backyard FGM and won't remove as much skin. That's right, they're only cutting off a little bit of vagina you guys, no biggy! Unfortunately we're not the first Western country to discuss this shit. Apparently child abuse is okay if it's a cultural thing.
